How to pick strawberries

 

Farmer's Market on Sundays.

I walk in and there's always an abundance of fruit vendors.

Stalls upon stalls of berries.

Which one?

They all look beautifully red.

The best way always – try one.

Here are other ways: 

1. Smell them. When strawberries are ripe they will give off that pleasant strawberry smell.

2. Look under the basket at the berries buried on the bottom — many times you'll find rotten ones down there.

3. Here's a helpful tip: The smaller strawberries (wild strawberries) tend to be packed with much more flavor than the bigger strawberries.

4. Are they in season? Berries picked at their appropriate season is going to be best 😊
